Welcome to the website for the Vancouver Granville Green Party Electoral District Association

Thank you all for your support in the 2025 election. It didn’t go the way we wanted, but that’s politics baby. We spoke with a lot of friends and supporters who said they just couldn’t risk a conservative government, and so they held their noses and voted Liberal.

Well, we’ve got a Liberal government and, though it’s a minority, we likely will not have an election again until 2029. In the meantime, the Alberta Government is trying to force another crude oil pipeline through northern BC, all while our provincial government has just green-lit an LNG pipeline funded by Blackstone, an American investment firm that I understand is closely linked with the current republican administration…

if you’re curious, you can read about that in the Narwhal here, in a press release from Stand.Earth here, and (if you want) from the BC Government here.

…housing isn’t getting any cheaper, and forest fires are tearing through the prairies.

All of that is to say that we have a lot of work to do. Right now, the EDA is taking a bit of a break, but we’re still around if you’d like to reach out or get involved. You can link up with us on Instagram, or just send an email to Mark. There’s a lot we can do in between elections, especially with some energetic volunteers, and we’re always going to entertain good ideas. Drop us a line if you want to get involved.
